My story of solar power. Thinking of going "going green" and taking those first steps into solar power? It is not as daunting as one might think!
Just recently, I built a do-it-yourself dual AC outlet solar system and it was easy. The initial cost was just under $700 and included everything needed to have enough power for a laptop, lamp, cell phone, power tools, basically what ever you feel like plugging into the standard wall outlet.
This journey into solar was two-fold, one for practical reasons, most of us are not exactly happy about our recent power bills as energy costs rise and for the second reason, to see just how feasible solar power really is. I must say it's impressive and really works!
I've been using the solar setup I built to fish at night with a light, sitting by the water with my laptop using FREE electricity!
